Helping Springers find new homes since 2007

Springer Spaniel Rescue Inc. is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that is dedicated to helping springer spaniels find new, loving homes. We service 10 western states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah Washington, and Wyoming. We welcome dogs of all ages from different circumstances. Our dogs receive needed medical treatment and are evaluated for temperament. SSRI has successfully placed springers in cherished homes since 2007.

  • Adopt

Thank you for your interest in adopting a springer who is looking for a second chance to be loved.

  • Foster

Fostering is how we are able to save dogs. This rewarding experience is always a need for our rescue.

  • Volunteer

It takes many hands to save Springers. Check out the many different ways volunteers support SSRI..

We have found that people who are unable to foster or adopt still want to help by making a donation to help loveable English Springer Spaniels.

Springers come in 3 main colors, Black and White, Liver and White and Tri-Color. They are a medium sized dog, averaging in height from 19 to 20 inches and in weight from 40 to 55 pounds.

There are 2 types of springers. The Bench-show is designed for the show ring and has a longer, silkier coat with more feathering.

A Field bred springer was designed for hunting and has a thicker coat with different markings. They have a stronger prey drive due to their hunting origins.

Springers do best with long daily walks/hikes and play opportunities. They are often seen in events that stimulate their mind and body, like tracking, obedience, agility and rally.

Springers are fun-loving, enthusiastic and smart.
A happy breed spending time with their people.
